The 2017 releases from 4e winery are sure to please. Our 4e grape wines are all grown locally and crafted in small lots. We also have a full selection of fruit wines available from dry to sweet. We are sure our wines will meet the exacting demands of your palates. Please come out to the winery and taste for yourself.
Our 4e grape wines are hand-crafted from cold climate grapes grown right here in the northern plains. Our 2017 lineup includes six different varieties of white and red wines for the table and for sipping.
Prairie Star – a crisp off-dry white wine. These grapes were sourced from a local grower in Minnesota. Our Prairie Star presents a clean and deliciously fruity wine that pairs well with light meals and seafood.
La Crescent -Our La Crescent is a fragrant and fruity wine with hints of apricot and pear. This wine is great for sipping or pairing with Asian dishes.
Frontenac Gris – a sweet and delicious white wine. Our Frontenac Gris presents a fruit-forward and refreshing flavor with tropical notes of mango and pineapple. This wine is great for sipping or pairing with your favorite cheese.
Marquette – a bold dry red wine made from grapes grown on the ancient shores of Lake Agassiz. Our Marquette represents a unique taste of the prairie with a bold fruity expression of flavor. This wine was aged with both American and French oak to provide a well rounded structure.
Rail Line Red – a light and fruity sweet red wine made from Frontenac grapes grown in northwestern Minnesota. This wine is full of tangy cherry and spice and is certain to be a favorite for the summer.
Coming in November
Bison Tale – a sweet red wine made from the King of the North Grape. At 4e Winery, we honor the magnificent spirit of Tatanka with this sweet and fruity red wine. Enjoy this wine with family and friends as you share your tales of the bison.

Non-Grape Wines – We pride ourselves on making balanced country wines that remind you of Grandpa’s cellar. Memories of sipping wines while the prairie breezes blow across the fields come to mind when enjoying these delightful wines. Our non-grape wines range in style from drier for the dinner table to sweet and delicious to enjoy on the patio. Made from local products and wholesome fruit sourced from the best growers in the region.
Aronia – aronia berries, also known as chokeberries, contain the highest level of anthocyanins and polyphenols of any fruit. These natural antioxidants are associated with good health and vitality. Our latest batch of aronia wine was made with North Dakota berries picked at the peak of ripeness. It is full flavored and sweetened just a little to balance the tannins in this berry.
Rhubarb – this wine is bursting with rhubarb flavor. Rhubarb was grown right here in the Red River Valley. We are making two versions of this wine to please every palate. One will be on the drier side and produce a crisp and refreshing food-friendly white wine. The other will be sweetened to fully express the rhubarb flavor.
dry – Available
sweet – Available
Blue Pontoon – this lemon blueberry wine is blend of Italian organic lemon and Oregon blueberries picked at the peak of ripeness. Delightfully sweet and tangy, this is the perfect refreshing summertime drink that should find its way to the lakes this summer.
Dark Current – This black currant wine is so darn good you will want to keep it for yourself, but this is a secret we encourage you to share. This wine presents deep dark fruit with rich sweetness to complement desserts or sip by the fire.
